Boxing camp Delfine Persoon definitively canceled due to the death of sheik

Delfine Persoon was ready for a boxing camp in Dubai as support act for the American legendary boxing star Floyd Mayweather. She was going to compete against a French woman. But on Friday it was announced that the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyane, has died. As a result, there is a period of mourning in the United Arab Emirates and many events have been cancelled.

The boxing camp is definitely not going on. The organization looked to postpone the camp to Monday evening, but that date is apparently too early.

Boxing on helipad

Delfine Persoon looked hard for the camp that appealed to the imagination. The site is said to have been the helipad of the Burj Al Arab hotel. She told us that in a video (see below) when she did not know that the camp would not take place.

If Persoon had won that camp, she would be very close to a big title fight and she can use that money for the construction of the new boxing hall in Gits. It should be ready by the summer.
