The Baskets Bonn suffered a setback in the fight for the play-ins at BBL at the direct competitor Alba Berlin.
The Baskets in the early game of the 32nd match day on Wednesday evening in Berlin clearly lost 88:10 (41:52). For Berlin it was the third victory in a row, through the Alba past Rasta Vechta in tenth place and thus jumped to the last Play-in-Platz. The capitals are now at 14 wins and 13 defeats. Bonn, on the other hand, loses the connection five games before the end of the season and is in 13th place with a record of 15 defeats after 27 games.
The man of the game was Matt Thomas, who set a career value with 34 points. On the Bonn side, Darius McGhee towered with 30 points.
Alba started concentrated and quickly used four Bonn gymnastics on slight points. In the fifth minute there were already ten points between the two teams in the 15: 5. Bonn caught up in the meantime, but Alba switched up a gear again and went into the first quarter break with 32:18.

In the second quarter, too, Bonn steamed up to minus seven, since Alba, as agile as the guests, acted. McGhee kept bringing Bonn up. Nevertheless, the hosts went into the half -time break with eleven points.
Even after the change of sides, both teams acted very torn, so that the audience could only see a total of four points in the first four minutes. Alba was able to take the ten points ahead of 75:65 in the last quarter of the break and further expand in the last phase of the game, as the guests decreased.
