Borussia Mönchengladbach want Kwarteng and Robin Hack – VfB Stuttgart too

Magdeburg’s top scorer

With ten goals and three assists, Moritz-Broni Kwarteng (25) is the top scorer at 1. FC Magdeburg together with Baris Atik (28) and Jason Ceka (23). The attacking midfielder, who joined the second division club in January 2022 as a freelance professional and has since enjoyed a rapid development, has played for several clubs from the Bundesliga and abroad.

Transfermarkt can do one “RP” report confirm that Borussia Mönchengladbach, VfL Bochum and VfB Stuttgart are interested in Kwarteng and have inquired about the possibility of signing the 25-year-old. The offensive man is contractually bound to the FCM until 2024. In addition, Transfermarkt has learned that FC Basel, a club from abroad, is trying to acquire Kwarteng.

“Here in Magdeburg I found my love and fun for football again. That’s why Magdeburg is definitely an important station in my career,” he said in an interview with the club just last week. A change in the upcoming summer is therefore not excluded.

Gladbach wants to strengthen the offensive: negotiations with Bielefeld’s Robin Hack

At Gladbach, Kwarteng could come as a replacement for Lars Stindl (34), who is returning to Karlsruher SC on a free transfer. The captain announced his departure three weeks ago, and Marcus Thuram (25) is also leaving the club in the summer. In addition to Kwarteng, Borussia therefore has two other players on the list.

According to “Sport Bild”, a concrete offer has already been made for Robin Hack from Arminia Bielefeld. “Sky” also reports on it. Gladbach wants to buy the 24-year-old (contract until 2025) for 1.5 million euros, while the second division club demands 2 million. Sports director Roland Virkus and Co. are in no hurry – if the DSC, which is currently on the relegation rank, were relegated, Hack would therefore be available for free.

In addition, according to the magazine, Vangelis Pavlidis (24) from AZ Alkmaar is a pure centre-forward on the list. “Sport Bild” does not report on negotiations, but describes the Greek, who has scored 22 goals in 34 games this season, as the “hottest candidate”.
