A supporter with hay caught fire on the Moersedreef in Kaatsheuvel on Sunday afternoon. The farmer rode with his tractor and trailer over the Dongenseweg, when people who came from Café De Dreef saw that the large trailer was on fire. They made the farmer alert.
The farmer did not hesitate for a moment and parked his burning trailer on a meadow on the Moersedreef.
About 280 bales of hay
A tractor with a gripper was used to pull the hay apart. According to bystanders, there would have been around 280 bales of hay on the trailer.
The farmer was almost at his final destination when things went wrong. It is not known how the hay bales could catch fire.
