Lore Vanaudenhove, director of Boektopia: “We estimate that we have around 60,000 visitors in total. That is about 14% more than last year. This is first and foremost because Boektopia has a good satisfaction score, so the people who already know us often come back. This year during the autumn holidays it has really been autumn weather, which really helps for us since we are an indoor event.”
Names like Camille, Timon Verbeeck, K3 and captain Winokio in particular attracted a lot of people. But the insights of journalist and writer Geert Mak and Jeff Vermassen also ensured full houses.
