Bob Dylan plays at the “Montreux Jazz Festival” in summer

The annual “Montreux Jazz Festival” on Lake Geneva in Switzerland can also boast big names this year: from June 30th to July 15th the line-up includes Bob Dylan, Lionel Richie, Lil Nas X, Sam Smith and Iggy Pop .

Dylan deserves special mention: Festival gigs have become rare for the 81-year-old. This summer, however, he will perform as part of the 57th edition of the event. Dylan and his band will head to Switzerland on July 1st amid their five week European tour. Tickets for this are already sold out Prices amount to between 360 and 700 euros, depending on the category.

However, tickets for performances by Lionel Richie, Iggy Pop and Co. are still available.

“Montreux Jazz Festival”: The line-up

The Montreux Jazz program features a number of other top-class artists, including Gilberto Gil, Jon Batiste, Mavis Staples, Norah Jones, Maluma, Seal, Pat Metheny, Chris Isaak, Janelle Monae, as well as Niles Rodgers and Chic at the Stravinski Auditorium.

Rufus Du Sol, Caroline Polachek, Christine and the Queens, Wet Leg, Idles, Ava Max and Mark Ronson will perform at the Montreux Jazz Lab.
