The difference between number five FC Twente and number six AZ was only one point in favor of the home team. Fifth place gives the right to the home advantage in the play-offs.
Blunder Unnerstall
AZ shot off the starting blocks with an early goal from Ruben van Bommel. After Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Michel Vlap turned around the game, AZ still fought back in the game. Mijnans saw keeper Lars Unnerstall Blunderen on his shot and substitute Denso Kasius gave AZ the victory in the second half.
“We score three games three times,” says trainer Maarten Martens. Go Ahead Eagles and FC Groningen have both been beaten 3-0 in recent weeks. “We actually play well the entire second half.”
