Blue Tomato brings snowboard brand Forum back to Europe

The Austrian sporting goods retailer Blue Tomato brought the Forum snowboard brand back to Europe after its departure almost ten years ago.

The brand has not been active on the market since 2014 and made its comeback in digital commerce in the US last year, Blue Tomato said on Thursday. The products are now also available in the Schladming-based retailer’s online shop and selected brick-and-mortar stores.

“After a successful relaunch in the US, we are thrilled to partner with Forum as they expand globally and bring such an influential brand back to the European market,” said Will Reddin, Senior Hardgoods Buyer at Blue Tomato.

About forum

Forum was founded in 1996 by Four Star Distribution, the US clothing manufacturer behind the C1rca brand, and professional snowboarder Peter Line. The snowboards that Forum offers alongside ski jackets and pants as well as accessories are handmade in Austria.

“Forum has always stood for the collective energy that drives progress – on and off the snow,” said Line. “We’re trying to bring together a community of like-minded people who support each other to push what’s possible and contribute to the fun and future of snowboarding.”

The clothing from Forum that Blue Tomato currently offers costs between 44.95 euros for neck pillows and neck scarves and 319.95 euros for ‘three-layer all-mountain’ jackets.
