Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on February 24. About this Blinken declared in an interview with the Dozhd TV channel (recognized by the Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent).
“We have a meeting scheduled on the 24th, at the end of next week in Europe,” he said.

At the same time, Blinken noted that in his response to Lavrov’s invitation, he indicated “that this assumes that Russia will not attack Ukraine during this time.”
Earlier it was assumed that the meeting of diplomats will be held on February 23. At the meeting, the parties plan to discuss Russia’s comments on US responses on security guarantees. Also one of the topics of the meeting will be the situation around Ukraine.
