The German biathletes made the first top result in the World Cup under their new head coach Tobias Reiter.

As the best of the five DSV ski hunters, Justus Strelow came seventh in the shortened singles on the Pokljuka, despite the flawless shooting, 47 seconds were missing after 15 kilometers.

Overall, however, the German quintet in the third individual race after the resignation of Uros Velepec again made 19 shooting errors.

“It was really tough, you were immediately soaking wet,” said Strelow in the “ZDF”: “It was incredibly slow and that’s why it was only about the shooting range. I concentrated and I am glad that it worked out at four times. It was not particularly difficult for the wind, so it was feasible.”

The 37 -year -old Jakov Fak celebrated his ninth World Cuper success after the nine -year break.

In the duel for the overall World Cup, the Norwegian Sturla Holm Lächreid (1 error/+34.3 seconds) took over the yellow jersey, compatriot Johannes Thingnes Bö (1/+1: 5.3), 39 points are now back. Lächreid also secured the small crystal ball in the individual World Cup when there was snow.

In addition to Strelow, only David Zobel (3/+3: 47.5) still delivered reasonably. At the debut of the new head coach in Nove Mesto in the previous week, Strelow and Philipp Horn were the best DSV ski hunters in sprint and persecution each, the sextet had achieved 15 and 24 shooting errors there.

On the Pokljuka, the individual from Friday was preferred for one day due to the bad weather outlook and at the same time shortened by five kilometers.

On Saturday (3:45 p.m.) there is the next chance in the mass start before the single mixed (12:05 p.m.) and the mixed season (2:50 p.m.) are at the end of the penultimate World Cup.

The last horn last in the Longe Horn will miss the races on the Slovenian plateau due to a respiratory infection. He is said to return to the World Cup final on the Holmenkollen, where sprint, persecution and mass start will be run from March 21st.
