2:45 p.m
Let’s go!
It’s ready! Quentin Fillon Maillet sprints powerfully out of the starting gate. He is 15 seconds ahead of Fabien Claude.
2:37 p.m
Who will beat the French?
From a team perspective, the French once again dominated the World Cup weekend. In the women’s race, Lou Jeanmonnot emerged as the winner of the pursuit. In the men’s category, the first three starters are from France. Quentin Fillon Maillet opens this pursuit race as the winner of the sprint. Fabien Claude starts 15 seconds after him, seven seconds ahead of Emilien Jacquelin. The World Cup leader, Johannes Thingnes Bø, has to wait 58 seconds before he can fully attack. The French’s first pursuer is the Ukrainian Dmytro Pidruchnyi.
2:31 p.m
Hartweg in waiting position
Things went much better for the Swiss men. Niklas Hartweg finished seventh in the sprint, achieving his best result of the season. With a gap of 37 seconds, there could be more potential today. Sebastian Stalder follows in 23rd place, Jeremy Finello wears starting number 29. Finello is extremely strong on the cross-country ski trails, but the Swiss often struggles enormously with his shooting. Dajan Danuser qualified in 58th place and completes the Swiss quartet.

Austrians have almost no chance
From the perspective of the Austrian biathletes, things went even worse. In 30th place, Simon Eder is the first to start this competition for his country. He is just over a minute and a half behind. Nine seconds after him, David Komatz wants to know. Felix Leitner finds himself almost at the end of the field. He barely qualified for the pursuit race in 57th place. For him it will be about concentrating on himself and achieving a good shooting result. Then we’ll definitely move up a few places.
2:20 p.m
The race to catch up can begin
Not much went together for the German men in yesterday’s sprint race. None of the biathletes could compete at the front. Justus Strelow was the 18th best DSV athlete, but is already 1:13 minutes behind the top. However, there is still a lot in a pursuer. Philipp Nawrath goes into the pursuit 18 seconds behind Strelow. Danilo Riethmüller and Johannes Kühn follow just a few seconds later. But that’s not enough. Philipp Horn and Simon Kaiser complete today’s German squad as 44th and 46th.
2:15 p.m
Welcome
Good afternoon and welcome to the second pursuit race of the day. At 2:45 p.m. the men set off to complete 12.5 kilometers in five laps.
