The French biathlon team has changed its preparation for the upcoming Olympic season and will have a “mandatory date” whiz this summer. Sports director Stéphane Bouthiaux officially announced this.
As usual, the French national biathlon national team will not start this summer at the traditional blink festival in Sandnes in Norweg. The traditionally top -class occupation in August is the first real yardstick for the season and has always been part of French preparation in recent years. In the pre -Olympic summer, however, the team pursues other plans.
“You have changed the date and it takes place a week later this year. That doesn’t suit our height training and would cost us a lot of time,” said France’s sports director Stéphane Bouthiaux to the “Nordic Magazine”.
Nevertheless, the person responsible said that the participation of individual French athletes was quite possible. For example, if you have to meet obligations towards sponsors. This is the case with Eric Perrot.
France plans three biathlon events
As of today, only three summer events are scheduled for the French team: the tour d’Arcon, the Tour de la Féclaz and the Loop One Festival in Munich, which will be held for the first time this year.
In the coming season, the French biathlon stars will go by far the biggest favorites. For women, the Grande Nation has several hot iron in the fight for victories and medals in the fire with Lou JeanMonnot, Julia Simon, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Oceane Michelon and Jeanne Richard.
With Perrot, Quentin Fillon Maillet and Emilia Jacquelin, the men’s team at the top is also excellently positioned.
