Berlin Major: Liquid surprises Dota world champion Tundra

Dota World Champion Tundra Esports is eliminated from the Berlin Major. Team Liquid defeated the team around the German Leon “Nine” Kirilin with a quite clear 2:0 in the quarterfinals of the lower bracket.

In the first, rather quiet game, Liquid took the lead early on. Although Tundra reared up in the meantime, that wasn’t enough to fend off the 1-0. The fans in the hall supported the team with loud “Let’s Go, Liquid!” shouts.

The second game of the best-of-three series started more evenly until Liquid won a team fight in the 22nd minute. The Dutch organization also played this advantage, but not without mistakes, to victory.

Liquid next has to face the winner of the duel between OG and Evil Geniuses in the lower bracket semifinals. EG had beaten Hong Kong-based Talon Esports the day before.
