Ride the bus when there isn’t actually a bus. This is made possible by “BVG Muva”: a call bus that is starting as a pilot project in Lichtenberg, Marzahn-Hellersdorf and Treptow-Köpenick.

But the new offer even combines two services.

Flexible trips around the clock: The bus controls almost 4000 stops on request.

Elevator rides at normal travel times: If an elevator does not work at a stop or is not available, a bus can be ordered via Muva to take passengers to the next stop with an elevator.

The elevator replacement will be offered in a one-year test phase on the entire U8 line and on parts of the U5. 20 little yellow ones are used for the new service, 15 of them barrier-free.

And that’s how it works

Bookings are made via the Muva app or by telephone, and the vehicle is there within ten minutes.

That’s how much it costs

► A regular BVG ticket is required.

► Elevator rides generally do not cost extra.

► Flexible journeys to and from the train station are billed at a flat rate of 1.50 euros. For direct journeys it is 1.50 euros per kilometer.

► Number for elevator rides: (030) 256-55555.

► Flexible travel number: (030) 256-23333.

► The app is available in the stores for Android and iOS.
