As soon as it became known that the SPD wanted to form a coalition with the CDU, the Greens saw red! The waves of indignation are high in the eco-party.

Suddenly the party with which you just wanted to form a coalition is insulted. “An SPD that hasn’t done anything in Berlin in 34 years, everything messes up from BER to school,” rages Green legend Renate Künast (67). “Shame on you,” writes the politician on Twitter.

Kreuzberg’s ex-mayor Monika Herrmann (58) etches as always: “If the SPD had respect for the election result, the top candidate would have taken responsibility, would have resigned and the SPD would have gone into the opposition.”

Ex-Green MP Anja Kofbinger (63) claims: “The result of the exploratory talks was already certain. Giffey wants to get out of the responsibility and into the CDU government.

The organization “Fridays for Future”, which is close to the Greens, is also angry: “Franziska Giffey blinks to the right,” said the activists on Twitter. The CDU is “a party of regression”.
