The Belgian is almost as happy as before corona. This should become apparent from the National Happiness Survey of Ghent University in collaboration with insurer NN. A survey of 1,709 respondents at the end of 2022 assigns the average Belgian a ‘happiness score’ of 6.6 out of 10. That figure fell to a low of 6.2 during the corona crisis in the middle of the second wave.
