Official player Cora Zicai must worry about participating in the European Football Championship in Switzerland (2nd to 27th July) because of a muscular injury.
As the German Football Association (DFB) announced on Saturday, the 20-year-old left the national team prematurely and will return to Freiburg “for further treatment”. “A possible participation in EM depends on the further course of healing”said national coach Christian Wück.
No Nomination for Austria game
The top talent will definitely be missing on Tuesday (03.06.2025) in the last Nation League game in Vienna against Austria. Wück refrained from nomination. Zicai already missed the 4-0 against the Netherlands on Friday evening in Bremen, the DFB had justified this with “muscular complaints”.
Zicai has scored two goals in three international matches and hopes to jump on the European Championship train thanks to her strong performance. Wück nominated his squad on June 12th. In the coming season, the wing player will no longer appear for SC Freiburg, but for VfL Wolfsburg.
