The accident happened on Friday just after 4:30 PM at the intersection of the N8 with the Poperingestraat in Woesten. A tractor with a beer cart probably came from the direction of Ypres and wanted to turn into Poperingestraat when the beer cart tipped over in the bend. The barrel ended up against the corner of a house.
“The damage to the house is extensive,” said the locals. The impact caused the house to be severely damaged and is currently uninhabitable.
The resident was not home at the time of the accident. There were no injuries. Exactly how the accident could have happened is being further investigated.
