Wellness coach Martina Aitolehti speaks Beauty and health magazine in an interview about his resignation.

Aitolehti and her Australian fiance were supposed to get married last summer. However, from early spring 2025, Aitolehti thought that the wedding should be cancelled.

– I would have gotten the princess wedding of my dreams, everything that anyone could ever wish for. But I had to be honest with myself: if something looks like a dream on the outside, it must be at least as wonderful in real life, Aitolehti describes to Kauneus ja terveys magazine.

Despite canceling the wedding, Aitolehti wanted to give the relationship another chance, and did not want to make a decision lightly or in a hurry. In the interview, he reflects on how people make mistakes and he has made them too.

Aitolehti does not say the reasons behind the broken engagement. Because he decided to give the relationship space, he remained silent in public about the cancellation of the wedding and the crisis in the relationship.

– I had to live a lie in order to give us peace to deal with the situation. I tried to keep a low profile and focus on my everyday life, says Aitolehti in an interview.

The final decision to resign was a relief for Aitolehti, when after months of deliberation he was able to say the matter out loud, Aitolehti describes in an interview.

Aitolehti’s resignation became public after he visited the BFF podcast in the fall. Podcast hosts Emilia Aaltonen and Selen Ahishali asked Aitolehti about his relationship status.

– I am single, Aitolehti answered after thinking for a while.

Aitolehti and “Aussi-rakas” got engaged in March 2024. They got romantically engaged on the beach in the Maldives under the glow of candles. The couple’s love story began in 2022.
