On Sunday evening, just before the thunderstorm, three teenagers ran into problems off the coast of De Panne. They sat together on a SUP board and quickly drove towards the Open Sea without a paddle. “They were actually on such a shelf, which is not okay, and then they are indeed far driven,” says Deputy Power Filip Jongbloet.
