The Niners Chemnitz have gotten back on track in the BBL. After the defeat against Bamberg, the Saxons secured their fourth win of the season against second-to-last Braunschweig.

The Niners Chemnitz basketball players have expanded their home series in the Bundesliga. Coach Rodrigo Pastore’s team celebrated their third home win in a row with a 93:75 (47:44) win against the Basketball Lions Braunschweig. In front of 4,732 spectators, Kevin Yebo was the Niners’ best scorer with 19 points, which improved to fourth place.

Chemnitz missed the start and improved

Three days after the hard-fought 89:78 victory in the Eurocup against Ulm, the Chemnitz team initially struggled and lacked their usual energy on defense. After ten minutes the guests were ahead 26:20. In the second quarter, the Niners increased their intensity significantly and also found their rhythm on offense.

Braunschweig held out well for a long time before the hosts secured the preliminary decision with a 17:3 run across the quarter to make it 75:60 (33rd). The Niners continued to keep the pace high and continued to extend their lead.
