Bayern Munich | Stefan Effenberg ennobles Harry Kane: “Everyone around it benefits”

FC Bayern has a new world-class center forward: Harry Kane. In the Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen, the 100 million man shone with two points. Ex-professional Stefan Effenberg sees another advantage in the arrival of the English national team captain.

“Tel will benefit from Harry Kane,” said Effenberg in “Sport1-Doppelpass”. The 18-year-old attacker switched from Stade Rennes to FC Bayern last summer for around 20 million euros. Tel was able to convince in the pre-season. After coming on as a substitute against Werder Bremen, the Frenchman also put his name on the top scorers list.

Effenberg believes that Kane can become a mentor for Tel in Munich. “In my time it was Roque Santa Cruz, who learned so much from Giovane Elber. If you have any questions, go to Harry Kane, one of the best strikers in the world. Everyone around benefits from it,” explained the TV expert Position.

Kane has “leadership qualities – also when he directed towards Goretzka after his goal. These are only small things, but they are extremely important,” said Effenberg about the 30-year-old.

The goalscorer was “the player that Bayern really needed,” explained the 2001 Champions League winner.

Kane is to replace Lewandowski at Bayern Munich

But Bayern also had to dig deep into their pockets for Kane. According to reports, the Munich team paid around 100 million euros to Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane is supposed to close the gap at Bayern Munich that Robert Lewandowski left behind last summer when he moved to FC Barcelona.

“I’m just looking forward to the rest of the season,” said Kane about his new start at “Bild”. The veteran believes that he fits into Bayern. “I’ve had a good week of preparation with the team. We have fantastic quality, a lot of pace. That suits me because I like to let loose in the build-up game,” he said.
