Board members of Samsunspor, one of the Super League teams, announced that the “Samsunspor 60th Anniversary Summer Festival” will be held at the club facilities with many events with the motto “Children of this City are from Samsunspor”.
Founded in 1965, Samsunspor, in addition to being a football club, stands out as one of Türkiye’s strongest sports brands and the common value of millions of fans. The Black Sea representative, which has brought significant success to Turkish football in its 60-year history, is also active in women’s volleyball, volleyball academy, boxing, bocce, archery, badminton and judo branches in addition to football. The club will conclude its 60th anniversary activities with the summer festival on Saturday, June 20.
In the summer festival event, which will start at 11:00 at Nuri Asan Facilities on Saturday, free Turkish Flag distribution, pickleball, capoeira show, face painting, balloons, tug of war, marching band show, stage shows, sponsor activations, facility tours and refreshments will be offered to children. With these events, it is aimed to bring Samsunspor together with the city more strongly, to introduce children to sports and Samsunspor culture, to create a social event where families can have an enjoyable time, and to convey the unifying power of sports to wider audiences.
Within the scope of Samsunspor 60th Year Summer Festival, Samsunspor Deputy President Veysel Bilen, Samsunspor Board Members Onur Öztekin, Giray Şen and Volkan Erdil held a press conference. Speaking at the meeting, Veysel Bilen said, “The 60th Anniversary events started last year. This year we will end the celebrations with the summer festival. As Samsunspor, we aimed to touch all layers as the important brand of the city for 1 year. We worked with the board of directors for 1 year. We wanted to touch children and young people in our summer festival event. Since we set out with the motto ‘Children of this City are from Samsunspor’, we wanted to make the final with children. This is what we will start with children. “Years later, they will be the young people who support Samsunspor, maybe in the management, maybe in the stands, or in the stands. That’s why we care about our children very much. As a club, we will continue to carry out projects that touch children as much as possible,” he said.
Other board members also invited all children and families to the summer festival.
