Flekken is completely underestimated by some and you probably don’t seem to know him and only look at the age and club. One of the best keepers in the league, with 31 for a keeper definitely not yet too old, strong on the line, extremely strong on the ball, very modern keeper. Certainly has his weaknesses but it is far better than Hradecky and will strike. Every bet
Just as little as you seem to know Jonathan Tah, for example, when you look at how you have permanently talked about it in the Barça Forum. But well, that is OT, especially since Barça apparently (unfortunately!) Couldn’t register him.
Flekken is all about the price-performance ratio. Would you get it for up to € 10 million or it would be in his mid -20s and would have 10 good seasons in the tank, no problem. But at € 15 million we are talking about a sum that has so far been paid for hardly a goalkeeper beyond the 30. And flekken is not a keeper in the category Navas or Čech, where this was the case.
I agree with Friemersheimer.
In the case of the expected departures through the Leverkusen, I will frankly not understand why so many Leverkusen fans complain for a 32 -year -old goalkeeper for a 32 -year -old goalkeeper. Using the example of Xhaka and ZT Hofmann, the example has been seen how many experienced players can mean added value for a collective. Flekken is undoubtedly an upgrade to the existing goalkeepers. Neither Xhaka nor a Flekken or Hofmann will be fairly secure their invested transfer fee through a sale, but if such players are more successful, this is also a form of payback.
I believe that Rolfes, Carro and Falkenberg have understood that in the past you almost only piling up players who have a resale value, but have been lacking the great sporting success. Now you have seen that the expensive investments in older players were actually worth it because you have won long desired trophies. Therefore, despite the high transfer fee, I see the transfer as not unrealistic. And if you look at the last season of flekken, I don’t even find the transfer.
Here Joan Garcia was addressed as much better, albeit significantly more expensive, alternative. I would generally also prefer a Garcia obligation to a flekken obligation. But a Joan Garcia obligation is unlikely due to the many top -class competitors. But if Garcia is feasible, you should definitely try it.
And something else about the transfer fee, Bayer 04 has a profit transfer contract with Bayer AG. Therefore, you will be careful in the club that the surpluses are not too high. Carro once said publicly and said that you tried to keep the balance sheet as balanced as possible. Especially if Wirtz is to be sold, Rolfes & Co. certainly have a decent financial scope and will not have to push, which makes a fleek commitment to me anything but unrealistic
Just because you are expected to generate a lot of money, you don’t have to hire players overpriced. If 15 million is right, it is simply an incredibly high amount for an Ü30 goalkeeper who is not part of the world class like other TWS of this price range.
And that’s why you can’t just compare it with a field player, especially not with an Xhaka.
And yes, it is true that you shouldn’t just sign young, capable of development. But if you look at the past two transfer periods, Leverkusen still has to reach for talents again, especially since the money simply doesn’t do the money to hire finished players. Young players like Wirtz and Frimpong leave the club, players like Tapsoba, Palacios, Boniface, Schick, Adli, Tella and Grimaldo are older.
Flekken itself may not be the worst take. But I go there with apple shuerrle and say for max. 10 million, which is already a decent chill. I would just find 15 million insanity. In general, not much transfer is paid for TWS, which is why the MWs are rarely high.
