Bast Dost signs for a season at FC Utrecht

FOOTBALL – Former FC Emmen striker Bas Dost (33) transfers to FC Utrecht. The striker comes from Club Brugge, where he leaves on a free transfer. Dost has signed for one season with the formation of the new trainer Henk Fraser. “He provides the selection with a quality impulse with his punch, targeting and experience,” the club said.

In addition to FC Emmen, Dost played in the Netherlands for Heracles Almelo and sc Heerenveen. This was followed by foreign adventures at VfL Wolfsburg, Sporting and Eintracht Frankfurt, before he ended up at Club Brugge. Last season he became champion of Belgium with Bruges.

“It is great to welcome Bas to Utrecht”, technical director Jordy Zuidam says on the club’s website. “Bas is a winner, incredibly driven, takes a lot of experience with him and has shown over the years that he can score anywhere and anytime.”
