Coach Rodrigo Pastore’s team lost a 13-point lead in the final quarter against French first division club Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse on Tuesday evening and lost 82:85 (41:36). Chemnitz improves and leads to the break
The Chemnitz team, who had to do without Kevin Yebo and Nike Sibande for a short time, found it difficult to get into the game and initially had a hard time, especially under the basket. From the second quarter onwards, the guests increasingly gained control. They moved the ball patiently and benefited defensively from the hosts often getting bogged down in individual actions. The Niners were ahead 34:25 after 16 minutes.
Nineres give up the lead – quartet has to go down early
The French started the second half with more energy and turned the game around to 50:46 (24th minute). In the final phase, the guests had nothing to counter, with four players being eliminated early with five fouls.
