As of: January 2nd, 2024 10:26 p.m

The MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg started the second round with a win. With a win in Istanbul next week they will be in the second group phase.

The basketball players from MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg have taken a big step towards the second group phase in the Champions League. The Bundesliga team won on Tuesday evening in the so-called play-ins against the Turkish representative Darüssafaka Istanbul with 82:63 (40:33). The best thrower was Jayvon Graves with 21 points.

The intermediate round is played in best-of-three mode. Ludwigsburg therefore only needs one success. The next game will take place on January 10th (6 p.m.) in Istanbul. While the first two quarters were fairly even, coach Josh King’s team laid the foundation for victory in the third half. The hosts acted more concentrated, especially on offense and defensively under the basket, and threw more precisely. Ludwigsburg started the final quarter with a 20-point lead and the MHP giants didn’t let anything go wrong.
