Finland’s basketball players are in the semi -finals for the first time at the European Championship. The team led by NBA professional Lauri Markkanen prevailed in Riga in the quarter-finals in the duel of the surprise teams against Georgia with 93:79 (57:40).

Clear victory against Finland in the preliminary round
In the preliminary round, Germany in Tampere had won 91:61 against the host of the group phase. But Finland had sensationally switched off Serbia in the round of 16.
