According to “Blick”, he even threatens legal consequences in Switzerland. The former Army Sports Club ZSKA now belongs to the Russian State Bank VEB, which in turn has been on the sanction lists of the European Union, the USA and Switzerland since the beginning of the Ukraine War. If Celestini returns to his homeland before the end of his contract, according to legal experts, he should no longer collect continued payments by the Moscow VEB club.
UEFA and FIFA suspended Russian teams
Russian clubs and national teams are currently suspended by UEFA and FIFA. As a reason for this, the associations and the endangerment of a smooth game operated, as some teams and countries announced a boycott of the games. The war of attack on Ukraine is the reason for suspension, but not the reason.
