Barbier referred to KI for murder
The facts took place on the night of 2 to 3 December in front of a hairdressing salon on Sloepenlaan in De Panne. There was then a brawl that ended fatally. Abdellatif B. killed a 31-year-old man with eleven stab wounds. The victim may have come to settle an account. According to the Moroccan barber, he was attacked and there was certainly no premeditation.
The Veurne council chamber ruled on Tuesday morning that the forty-year-old will have to answer to the West Flemish court of assizes. The Ghent Chamber of Indictment (KI) will soon have to consider the matter.
Abdellatif B. has previously been convicted of drug dealing and possession of a magazine and cartridges of a firearm. He denies all facts. He would only use drugs and not sell, and he would not have known about the ammunition and the magazine.
