Talk show Efter nio returns to the screen after the break. In the first episode of the year Sonja Kailassaari and Janne Grönroosin the guest is, among others, Mervi Kallio, known as an F1 journalist.

Kallio has met famous people for his work. Often they are just not talked about like that. Say Bill Clinton’s and Donald Trump’s people may already know in advance that interviews will not happen. However, such a communication had not come from David Beckham. So Kallio asked his representative if he could ask the ex-footballer a few questions.

– The manager asked where I come from, Kallio recalls on TV.

– I answered that from Finland.

The manager hadn’t even heard of the whole country.

– Where is it? he wondered before telling Kallio not to approach Beckham.

– But then David saw me. “Hey, what’s up, what do you want?” he asked—and so I interviewed him.

Kallio says in the program that the pit has to have an eye for the game, but also arrogance.

– Otherwise, you won’t get anything, he points out.

Efter nio today at Teema & Femi at 21:00 & Areena. See all TV programs and broadcast times in Telku’s TV guide.
