Leroy Sane, who was injured in training, was excluded from the squad for Germany’s 2022 World Cup match against Japan on Wednesday.
In the statement made by the German Football Federation, it was noted that the 26-year-old football player will not be able to play against Japan due to a knee injury.
Sane was expected to start the game in the starting 11 against Japan. Coach Hansi Flick has options in this region such as Serge Gnabry, Julian Brandt, Mario Götze and Kai Havertz.
