For Dani de Wit, yesterday’s match against Fortuna Sittard (3-1) got a nasty ending. The midfielder injured his foot in the first half and therefore fell out prematurely. Today it turned out that the Alkmaarders will have to miss De Wit for ‘a few weeks’.
De Wit, good for five goals in the Eredivisie, opened the score against Fortuna, but was injured in the 34th minute. The American Djordje Mihailovic replaced him.
AZ will play Go Ahead Eagles in Deventer on Wednesday evening.
