AZ has no problem with RKC in Waalwijk in cup match

AZ has reached the semi-finals of the national cup tournament. The formation of trainer Pascal Jansen, who had already beaten PSV last weekend, had no problem with RKC Waalwijk. In Brabant, the game ended in 0-4.

Halfway through, AZ already led 0-3. Dani de Wit scored after an assist from Vangelis Pavlidis. The Alkmaarders took advantage of poor defense on the Brabant side. Pavlidis then scored himself. The Greek tapped in from a rebound, after goalkeeper Issam El Maach had initially cleared the ball.

After that, Jesper Karlsson was successful from 11 meters. Partly on the advice of the VAR, referee Edwin van de Graaf awarded the penalty after Owen Wijndal had run over.

Especially after the opening goal, there were also opportunities for the home club, which did not act in its strongest composition. For example, Iliass Bel Hassani and Lennerd Daneels were both close to equalizing once.

Halfway through the second half, Zakaria Aboukhlal scored the next goal for the Alkmaarders. He tapped in after a nice pass from Jordy Clasie.
