AZ plays against Ajax in the semi-finals for the KNVB Cup. That has just been determined by the draw. Last season Ajax won 0-1 in the cup with a goal from Zakaria Labyad.
AZ defeated in the quarterfinals last Wednesday RKC easy with 0-4† At the same time, Ajax eliminated last season’s finalist, Vitesse, with big numbers: 5-0. The other semi-final is between Go Ahead Eagles and PSV.
Earlier this season Ajax – AZ was won by the Alkmaarders: 1-2† Vangelis Pavlidis, Zakaria Aboukhlal and Sébastien Haller scored the goals. The semifinals will be played on Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2 and/or Thursday 3 March. The final in De Kuip is scheduled for April 17 during Easter Sunday.
