AZ extends contract of youth player Fedde de Jong

AZ has broken open the contract of youth player Fedde de Jong. The eighteen-year-old midfielder is now committed until the summer of 2025.

The footballer from Uitgeest has played 48 matches for Jong AZ so far. In it he scored four times. He has also been wearing the captain’s armband of that team for several months. “It was simple for me: I just really want to stay at AZ. I think there is a future for me at this club,” said De Jong.

No playing minutes yet at the first

The footballer has been on the reserve bench for the first team a few times. He has not yet made his debut at AZ. “My goal is to be a permanent part of the A-selection from next summer. Until then, I want to achieve good results with Jong AZ. Ultimately, I hope to become captain of the first.”
