Athletes usually post a lot of photos when they have married. Not so Daniel Hemetsberger. The wedding of the speed specialist was passed on via “village radio”.
The winter sports enthusiasts are currently preparing for the new season and are busy training before starting in autumn. The athletes also use this time for private events, such as weddings. At the beginning of July, for example, ski racing drivers Henrik Kristoffersen gave his partner’s yes word and then shared photos with his fans on the Instagram platform. The Austrian Daniel Hemetsberger now did different.
The 34-year-old also married his partner. However, there are no photos of the civil wedding – it took place quietly and secretly in the closest circle. However, Hemetsberger explained to the “Tyrolean daily”: “I didn’t want to keep it secret, there was quite a village radio. My mom was asked what was going on.”
For the ski racer, however, the civil wedding was only the beginning. As he reveals, a major celebration is planned in the coming year. Then his teammates should also be there. Hemetsberger promises: “And then there are photos.”
The ski racer has completed 69 World Cup races so far and landed on the podium four times. However, he has never been at the top.
