Robin Dutt is no longer the coach of Wolfsberger AC. The Austrian first division football team parted ways with the 58-year-old after the 2-1 draw against TSV Hartberg, as the club announced.

This decision was made during a conversation between President Dietmar Riegler and Dutt, it said. The former Bundesliga coach said goodbye to the team on Sunday morning.

Dutt took over the WAC at the beginning of the 2021/22 season and led the team to fourth place and thus to the European Cup qualification. The Carinthians lost to Molde FK in the Conference League playoff last summer. Things didn’t go well in the Bundesliga this season either, and the championship round was missed.

“The WAC has grown very dear to me over the past two years. The relationship of trust with Dietmar Riegler, my coaching team and the staff was something very special. I wish the team, of which I am still fully convinced, all the best,” said Dutt. He had previously trained in German professional football in Freiburg, Leverkusen, Bremen and Bochum.
