Ingolstadt’s house showed the new design course through an electric concept coupe -art which is not just an exercise in style: it will go to production in 2027
The gaze turned to the future, without forgetting the legacy of the past: this was the choice of the new stylistic course of Audi, which is anticipated by the Concept c revealed in preview in Milan. However, this is not just an exercise in style: this car It will be produced by 2027 In a configuration very similar to that of the prototype, i.e. an electric two -poster with targa bodywork and rear -wheel drive. This stylistic evolution follows the arrival in 2024 of the new chief of design, the Italian Massimo Frascellawho guided the creation of this car. The concept C contains numerous references to models of the past: from the front grid inspired both to the UNION TYPE C car of the 1930s that to the A6 of 2004, passing through the forms of the tail that immediately bring to mind the TT. The DNA is therefore unmistakably Audi, but reworked in a more essential key, with even more lines and geometric and muscular dimensions.
New vertical frame

The stylistic innovations brought by concept C start from the front, where the mask no more single frames of hexagonal form stands out, but but rectangular and vertical development. As anticipated, among the sources of inspiration for this change of design we find both the UNION TYPE C carracing car of the thirties, both theAudi A6 of 2004with product acronym C6. The traditional four rings inside the mask cannot be missing. The bright signature is completely new, with four LED vertical elements enclosed in the headlights with a markedly horizontal development, which contrast both with the grill and with the side air intakes that convey the flows towards the wheels. For the rest, the front is characterized by full, smooth and carved surfaces, giving a strong impression of solidity. The side lines also strengthen this sensation: they are without ribs and concavities, with a single marked edge that connects the horizontal and vertical surfaces. To obtain maximum cleaning of the shapes, the handles have been replaced by a touch element on the door of the door. The roof cut closely recalls sports models of the past such as TT and R8: The air intakes seem to suggest the presence of a thermal engine and the lower one hides the stop light. The rear recalls the shapes already seen in front, with the thin and horizontal headlights and the four rings in the center. Finally, there is an extractor to encourage aerodynamics. The forms of concept C are pure coupe e totally hide the possibility of opening the roof: The entire rear part behind the passenger compartment raises to make it return, transforming the car into a plaque.
Elegance without frills

The essentiality and purity of the forms expressed by the exterior is also reconfirmed in the passenger compartment of concept C, where they are present only horizontal and vertical lines which accentuate the feeling of balanced and sober elegance. The horizontal development dashboard is characterized by a upper part covered in soft polyurethane to the touch, while on the doors we find the aluminum handles and the coating in wool -based fabricthe same present also on the seats. Thanks to the pierce, it is naturally breathable and allows you to spread the sound of the speakers drowned in the doors without the need for a speaker. The feeling of great geometry, almost architectural, is also reviewed in the central tunnel, equipped with a transparent compartment that can be opened with a physical button. Just this was a precise choice: the desire not to lose the feeling of materiality of the buttonsboth to the touch and to the hearing with the family member “click”. In fact, there are several commands both on the tunnel and on the steering wheel, including levers, keys and wheels. The digital dashboard with customizable graphics is clear and legible, while the screen of theinfotainment: the dimensions are “only” 10.4 “, in contrast with the current current that sees increasingly large displays. With a command, moreover, the screen folds inside the dashboard, disappearing completely at sight.
In production since 2027

As anticipated, concept C is not just a show car that must illustrate the stylistic line of the future Audi. It will in fact enter in production in 2027with forms very close to the current ones.
