“The operation will take several hours,” says a fire department spokesman early in the evening. The roof had to be opened. The fire was fought with the help of several turntable ladders. Around 8 p.m. the all-clear was given: the fire is under control.

“We got ten people to safety. All have mild smoke inhalation,” the spokesman said. A total of 13 people had to be cared for by the rescue service. However, no one had to be hospitalized, the fire department said.

The subsequent extinguishing and control work lasted until late in the evening. The fire brigade also uses a drone.
