Attention beachgoers: traffic jams on the way to North Holland beaches

It is very busy on the roads to several North Holland beaches. The ANWB reports this. On the hunt for sun, sea and beach in this – probably – the last scorching hot weekend of the year, many people have to deal with extra traffic.

Especially on the roads to Zandvoort it is much busier than normal. The ANWB reports traffic jams on, among other things, the N201 from Hoofddorp to Zandvoort, at the connection with the N206. It takes about ten minutes longer to reach the beach.

The beach is also filling up, as can be seen on the webcams on the Zandvoort boulevard. Text continues below the video.

The road to the beach of Castricum aan Zee has become a lot more crowded. You have to take into account at least half an hour delay.

Other beaches

The roads to Bergen and Egmond seem to be in good condition for the time being, and you hardly have to take extra traffic into account to the beaches of IJmuiden and Wijk aan Zee.
