NAC Breda says goodbye to attacker Elias ómarsson. The contract of the 30-year-old Icelander will not be extended on July 1.

“The qualities and mentality of Elías are beyond dispute, but NAC makes this choice because it is looking for a different profile for the attack line,” explains technical director Peter Maas the club’s decision. “Partly because he now knows where he stands at the beginning of June, we give Elías a nice next step.”

Occalson played in Breda since January 2023. NAC took over the attacker transfer -free from the French Olympique Nimes. This season he scored eight goals in 32 league games for the number 15 of the Eredivisie. His total number of goals in the yellow-black ends in a total of 23 pieces.

“I want to thank the club and the supporters for the great time we have undergone together,” responds ómarsson on the club’s website. “When I came to NAC, the goal was to bring this club back to the Eredivisie. Wonderful that it worked. I always felt welcome and at home at NAC and in Breda. I wish the club and the people of the club the very best for the future.”
