Another problem with the station lift in Meppel. A man got stuck last night and had to be released with the help of the fire brigade.

According to a bystander, the man was with a mobile aerial platform in Meppel. He would work on maintenance work at the station, but could not go anywhere around 11 p.m. The elevator where he used refused service.

When the fire brigade came hit, the victim had been stuck for a while. The man is liberated by opening the lift door. He was further unharmed.

A technician is switched on to repair the lift. When it can be put back into use, it is still unknown.

Because people get stuck more often, the Meppeler Stationslift is also known as ‘horror lift’. Research showed that the fire brigade was called in six times last year to free someone from the hoist.
