The first bite incident took place on Tuesday evening, April 1. “Then the police said they already know who those dogs were. I assume that there are not different groups of shepherd dogs walking through Noord so it will be the same,” wrote a local resident in a message to AT5.
Research
Whether it is indeed the same dogs and the same owner as in the night from Monday to Tuesday, when two cats in the vicinity of Purmerplein and near the Nieuwendammerdijk are bitten by probably two shepherd dogs, a police spokesperson cannot say. According to her, that is still in research.
The dogs were found by the police in April and the dogs that bitten at the beginning of this week have now also been found. In April the owner had a punishment, but the Public Prosecution Service could not yet say what punishment that was about this afternoon.
Seized
Whether there will also be criminal consequences for this week’s bite incidents, the public prosecutor still has to determine. The two dogs that bitten then have certainly seized, says the police spokesperson.
