At least 12 people were killed and 27 injured in a suicide bombing in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on Tuesday. The attack took place near a court, in a district where there are also many government buildings. International media report this. The promotion has not yet been claimed.
The perpetrator targeted a police vehicle, Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told journalists. The victims included passers-by and people attending a hearing, broadcaster Pakistan TV said. A military school in northwestern Pakistan was also attacked during the night from Monday to Tuesday. Authorities say six attackers attempted to take recruits hostage and launch a bomb, but the attempt failed. Soldiers killed two perpetrators, three militants were arrested.
