“I would like to hear from the municipalities how they have completed the rest of the plan,” said Van der Wal. “Because the construction costs have also risen enormously since then. We have now received a wonderful amount, but if we can’t get started now, it will shift again.”
It has been a hot topic for years
The plans for the Heiloo exit have been in place since the 1980s, but the project has still not gotten off the ground. The low point was the aforementioned termination of the plan by the Council of State.
A lot depends on the new exit, because several housing projects are also at a standstill until the exit is in place. Together they account for approximately 2,500 new homes. “There are so many projects that are linked to this that are at a standstill,” says Van der Wal.
