At least five dead and 27 injured in serious road accident in Morocco | Abroad

A minibus crashed into a tree after the driver lost control of the vehicle in the municipality of Brachoua, about 50 kilometers from Rabat. The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

The roads in Morocco, and by extension in all Maghreb countries, are known to be dangerous and accidents are common. In 2022, more than 3,200 people died in road accidents in Morocco, which is 7 percent less than in 2021. The Moroccan authorities have recently introduced a series of measures to combat road safety.
