The children who are normally cared for in De Bengel can temporarily go to BKO De Kastaar in Frère-Orbanstraat. This applies to care before and after school, but not to Wednesday afternoons. “At that moment there is too little capacity,” the city said. “We are currently looking at what temporary solutions are possible.”
In anticipation of this, the children were previously taken care of in the gymnasium of a nearby school. Parents have now been personally informed and will receive updates as soon as more information becomes available.
The city is currently carrying out inspections of all its buildings to identify and address potential asbestos problems.
