‘Art Rooijakkers chokes on coffee: Marieke-like viewing figures’

Art Rooijakkers must have choked on his coffee this morning when he saw the viewing figures, Tina Nijkamp expects. “Unfortunately, he has to look for a new program.”

There are so many panel shows on television that sometimes you can’t even tell the difference between them. The viewer seems to be getting a bit tired of it, because the Art Rooijakkers show Praat Nederlands Met Me is hardly watched. He scored really badly last night, reports ratings authority Tina Nijkamp analysis channel.

Marieke-like scores

Praat Nederlands Met Me has four episodes this season, but is not appealing to people. “Art Rooijakkers choked on his coffee this morning. His Praat Nederlands Met Me only has 347 thousand viewers and only a 10.2 percent market share on RTL 4. Oops.”

Very painful, Tina thinks. According to her, the scores are comparable to the Marieke Elsinga flop in which Irene Moors had to hit a shuffleboard. “It is now clear at once that there will certainly not be a new season for the time being. It didn’t score well, but these are Everything is Music figures. So Art will probably have to look for a new program title…”

Poor inflow

Art’s program was scheduled for 9:45 p.m. According to Tina, the previous broadcast also did not do very well. “The influx was not good: 564 thousand viewers and 11.8 percent market share for De Vrienden van Amstel Live.”

The big winner on prime time was NPO 1’s Wie is de Mol with a score of 2.1 million viewers. The Tribute: Battle of the Bands entertained an audience of 704,000 viewers on SBS 6.
