Four people were arrested in a raid in Berlin and Thuringia against fake police officers.
As the police announced on Friday, investigators during the operation of the Berlin State Criminal Police Office and the Gotha Criminal Inspectorate searched 14 objects at the same time, including in Berlin-Neukölln, Berlin-Schoeneberg, Arnstadt and the Wachsenburg office in Thuringia. Arrest warrants or arrest warrants were executed against the four suspects.
The gang structures have been investigated since June 2021. The suspects are accused of falsely impersonating police officers to scam people out of money.
A large amount of evidence was seized during the searches, including cash, jewellery, mobile phones and computers. Five vehicles were also confiscated. A total of 80 emergency services were on site during the Thursday morning operation. Further investigations continue.
